3rd Innovation Forum Telematics – Epilogue

Again the 3rd Innovation Forum Telematics offered our visitors a wide range of logistics related topics and current trends in mobile data communication. In addition to the leading topic of “B2C” in general cargo, which was debated in a high-profile panel discussion, also innovations in professional smartphones and the legal framework for BYOD were on the agenda.

Terminal emulations: LANDesk takes over Naurtech

With the acquisition of Naurtech in September 2014 by LANDesk now only one major provider for Terminal Emulations is on the market. Interesting for our customers: As a Wavelink Platinum partner we are are optimistic to be able to offer Naurtech terminal emulations also in the foreseeable future. Because Wavelink was bought in 2012 by LANDesk.

Bundestag decides to lower truck toll rates

The Bundestag has decided last week to lower the truck toll rates. The new law becomes effective on January 1st, 2015 and brings some more changes with it, mainly concerning the transport and logistics industry.

POST-EXPO of the CEP industry: „You have great ideas“ – we think so too!

For us the POST-EXPO in Stockholm was our second visit to a fair in the still quite new “CEP biotope”. As we have started to realize some projects in the parcel area now, this market has become an exciting field for us. In Stockholm we have therefore used the opportunity to meet up with decision makers in the CEP sector and to show what a powerful instrument PSV3 can also be for CEP companies.

Delivery Bikes – a trend for the CEP industry?

At the IAA Nutzfahrzeuge, the trade show for commercial vehicles, visitors were amazed, as this year the first delivery bicycles were exhibited at the fair. Robustly built – and even mobile with a good 200 pound load weight thanks to an electric motor – the cargo bikes are the climate-neutral trucks of the bicycle industry. Especially for the CEP industry the delivery bikes could be a real alternative for city traffic.
