Change of generations: Markus Vinke becomes new Managing Director at TIS

Josef Bielefeld übergibt seinen Teil der Geschäftsführung an Markus Vinke

On October 1st, Josef Bielefeld, founder and owner of TIS, handed over his part of the management to Markus Vinke. This means that TIS is undergoing the first generation change 30 years after its founding.

Markus Vinke will be responsible for all operational areas at TIS. Alongside him, Peter Giesekus will continue to be managing director to head the marketing and sales department. Josef Bielefeld will continue to provide advice and assistance after his retreat from the company management. The business interests of the GmbH continue to be owned by the Bielefeld family.

Markus Vinke has been working for TIS since 2002 and initially gained experience as a software developer and project manager before assuming the lead of software development in 2012. The graduate engineer for electrical engineering was decisively involved in the new development of the modular telematics solution TISLOG based on new technologies such as WEB services, HTML5 and Java Script.

Bielefeld had already been planning his personal succession two years ago and since 2015 it has been communicated internally. “As a passionate engineer and a tried and tested manager with a strong sense of economics, Markus Vinke has been my favorite candidate for a long time.” With the new management, TIS is better equipped than ever for future challenges in a rapidly changing technical environment.
