The Telematics Conference of TIS addressed the question of which megatrends are really relevant for the industry in the long run – and which ones can only be looked at as a ”hype”. Whether autonomous driving, Internet of Things or Wearable Technologies – the 4th InnoMATIK in top-class presentations delivered material for discussion and reflection on the future of the logistics industry. In addition to technical issues this time also the 30-year anniversary of TIS was a major event on the agenda and was extensively celebrated with more than 90 visitors on the evening of May 18th.

Of course, now we were particularly looking forward to the feedback among the logistics community.

On October 16, 2014, the 3rd Innovation Forum Telematics is held in Bocholt by us. We invite you to discuss in a relaxed atmosphere with other experts and practitioners the entire day.
Highlight of the day is the panel discussion on “B2C general cargo”. High-profile participants guarantee for an exciting and technically informative exchange. The round is moderated by Björn Helmke, former longtime editor of DVZ, with an excellent reputation as an outstanding industry expert.

TIS at Post-Expo 2014 in Stockholm

After the success of last year in Vienna we will be represented again this year at the Post-Expo. The international trade fair for the CEP industry will be held from September 23 – 25, 2014 in Stockholm.
At our stand you will find brand new prototypes of our TIS PLUS hardware accessories. In addition, we introduce our mobile software solution for subcontractors: PSV3 Smart. Among many software innovations, we demonstrate specifically optimized possibilities of departure control and loading space documentation for drivers. Dispatchers can look forward to new InfoDesk features.

Motorola Enterprise Mobility products are again called Symbol Technologies

In the spring of 2014 Zebra Technologies acquired the Enterprise Solutions business of Motorola for $ 3.45 billion. Now the revival of the old name “Symbol Technologies” to build on the previous success of the brand.

Zebra itself produces barcode printers – while Motorola Solutions covers the barcode area with scanners. Behind the portfolio of the Enterprise Solutions business of Motorola hides the former symbol product line.
